A friend of mine knows I'm a sucker for a great pho spot or some delicious Thai. So she recommended this place.
We went in for a late lunch today. Nestled in a little shopping center along with a sushi place and a bakery (among others) we walked in and were greeted with the delicious smells of spices and yum. It's a cozy little restaurant with a very warm feel. And I kinda want to steal their hanging light fixtures. But I digress.
It wasn't busy at all since we went in at an off hour. We were seated immediately by a super kind server and took a look at the menu. It was so hard to choose because everything sounded good. As the server brought us a cute little basket filled with all our necessary utensils, we decided on what to order. B ordered his favorite mix of pho and I ordered bun, which I usually do for my first time at a new Vietnamese place. The one I got was grilled pork.
When the order came, I believe I actually said something to the effect of "well ok then!" since my bun was piled high with skewers of decadent grilled pork. It melted in my mouth and I may have made some interesting noises. It was a prefect combo of meat and veggies and vermicelli and I couldn't have asked for more. B was thoroughly pleased with his pho. It smelled so good and he made similar noises. He ordered the small and it was just the perfect size for lunch. He got really quiet while eating so I KNOW it was good.
We both agreed this measured up to our favorite Vietnamese place back home and that's a tall order. Given the customer service, the variety of food, the great price point, the deliciousness of everything and the overall vibe, we may have just found our new favorite place. Can't wait to go back and try more!! -

These guys have it going on with a great mix of Thai and Viet dishes in a beautiful dining room. Service is great, too.
You pull in to a strip mall off Silver Lake; there's a French bakery and a long-time sushi place in this little cluster of businesses. Some nice stuff. These guys have a corner unit with plenty of light. Inside, they have a big face of the Buddha (if I am not mistaken) mounted on the wall, with tasteful décor throughout. There are flat screens, probably tuned to the game, to keep the locals feeling connected to their world. But otherwise, they do a nice job of making you feel like you could be in Indochina.
The menu feels like a nice mix of a pho place with an adventurous kitchen and a solid Thai place that does more than just the typical Americanized dishes. We tried the chicken lettuce wraps--these had wonderful herbaceous flavors, almost a bit delicate (i.e., adding hot sauce would wipe out all the flavors of the dish).
The pho broth was on the sweet side, but the other ingredients were amazing, especially the noodles. The tom yum soup was wonderfully tangy, but grew a bit salty sweet as the meal went on. With some earthly flavors bumped up in the broth, this would easily be the best Thai soup for miles.
As for those pho noodles, more on that. These guys have "noodle bar" in the name for a reason, turns out. I completely forgot until after we left that a friend had just been raving about how good the noodle dishes are here. I came in due to the super-high Yelp score, and will have to come back to check out the house-made noodles in some noodle dishes. Chances are I'll need to bump up my score another star at that point, if my buddy's enthusiasm is any indication of how good they are. -

I love ordering from this place. They have good Pad Thai and Pho so it's perfect for the whole family. Quick and fast delivery. The Tom Kha soup is good too.

Food and service was nice and the place itself was very clean. I got the tofu Pad Thai and it was probably one of the most flavorful ones I have ever had. The portion was decent for the price although I would prefer not as much food for a smaller price. The location is pretty good but if it were a busy Saturday or Friday night then I would guess parking would be a bit challenging.
I came in here on a Monday afternoon so they were not busy at all. I do not know if the service would have changed if they were busy but they had really kind server. I would recommend this place for a group of people craving Asian food but do not know exactly what kind. There's a lot of variety here.
I hope to come back and try more things, thumbs up!
